Monday Connection

Monday Connection (8/12)

"I never look back, Darling. It distracts from the now." Edna Mode, The Incredibles

Hello Readers,

Another week has come and gone, and we are making our way through another Monday. Hold on tight to your coffee cups.

How was your weekend? Were you able to find a moment for yourself? Did you finally pick up that book you’ve been wanting to read? Did you get to enjoy a glass of wine or drink a hot cup of coffee in silence?

It’s not everyday that I get to connect with a friend or have a quiet moment to myself. It seems like that glass of wine is few and far in between these days. So, I made sure to pencil in a few days of self-care these last couple of weeks. I read a book, enjoyed a glass of wine, went out with a good friend, and of course made time for family night out.

Now, I am energized and ready to connect with you. Are you ready to see what’s coming?

I take the first step towards My Journey Forward. I’m reconstructing myself and rebuilding Messy Mama. Follow along as I record my journey and offer helpful tips along the way. I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes me, as I become Messy With A Purpose.

As someone who suffers from an Anxiety Disorder, I fight every day to be the mother my daughter needs. It’s a consistent struggle, but I am not giving up. I am taking necessary actions to be more present and more aware of how I parent. Instead of constantly feeling guilty, I am working hard to overcome obstacles. In my post, Late Night Struggles Snuggles, I discuss how I overcame the dreaded sleep regression.

Parenting advice seems to be an unlimited resource. You can either find just about any type of “unprofessional opinion” on how you should handle tantrums, eating, sleeping, behavior, and so much more. As parents we might seek out any information when we feel lost, so sometimes it’s not all that bad. The worst kind of advice we can receive, however, is the unsolicited type. Let’s face it, not every child is the same and some people don’t understand that.

Sleep training seems to be one of the hottest parenting topics that every one has an opinion about. So how about everyone’s opinions on co-sleeping. Have to love those, right? Yes, you should do it, it’s natural. No, you should not do it, you’re not encouraging independence. In my post, I get real about our sleeping journey and I outweigh the pro’s and con’s. So, Co-Sleeping; Yay or Nay?

Each Sunday I get real about life as a SAHM, toddlers, Target, Motherhood, and so much more. I’m wrangling in my video discussions and introducing a new series, Morning Coffee Thoughts, where I get more in depth. Follow me on Facebook to check out each new discussion.

I am re-hashing why Naps Are Important.

I’m continuing my Pregnancy and Delivery series with your first Prenatal Visit.

We’re making our first stop on My Journey Forward, where we’re going to visit the question, “Who Are You?”

Finally, are we living in an era where we have become “too sensitive” or are people just getting offended by boundaries?

I would love to hear from you. Do you have a question? Are you a new parent and want to chat? Do you have something to say?

Are you a blogger? Would you like to connect and be my new friend? Want to be a guest writer?

Are you interested in collaborating or working with me? I am always looking for fun baby products to try.
