Monday Connection

Monday Connection (7/29)

"It's up to you how far you go, if you don't try you'll never know." Merlin, The Sword In The Stones

Happy August!

Another Summer month has come and gone, and now we are on to the last month before Fall arrives. Yes, I said it. FALL! (The basic girl in me is jumping for Pumpkin Latte joy!)

So, what are your plans on these last few weeks of warm weather? Have a trip coming up? Planning to see family? Sailing out into the breeze on smooth waters with plenty of relaxation and easy days before school starts?

I’ve been hard at work finishing up my book and working on a new series for my blog. All work and no play, but I’ve got a little Summer Fun heading my way this weekend. Much needed break, that’s for sure.

I can’t wait to dive in and tell you what’s coming up, and catch you up on what you might have missed.

Thank you all for joining me the last 21 days with my 21 Days of Baby-Toddler Summer Fun. I had so much fun creating these moments with my baby-toddler and sharing my experiences with you. It was nice to be a little silly and get a little realistic with these activity posts. I had such a blast that I am going to do it again! That’s right!

This time, I’m looking for ideas from you! Send in fun and creative fall fun ideas that I can test out on my little one and I will give you a shout out in my post. If you are a blogger, vlogger, or podcaster, feel free to drop a little information about you and your website and I’ll add a little snip about you. What a great way to put yourself out there!

Can’t wait to see all of your ideas.

We’re jumping right back into my Pregnancy and Delivery Series. Need to catch up, head on over to the page or check out my last post, Early Signs Of Pregnancy.

Coming up, we’re heading into the Pregnancy Topics of this Series. Yay! Fun!

If you have children in k – 5th grade, then head to and check out this great opportunity. Check out Limitless Learners Contest with for more details about this contest.

This contest ends October 31st, so sign up now!

I am so excited to introduce this new journey to you. I have big plans for the future of my blog and I’m embarking on a grande adventure to get there. You have gotten to know the true story behind Messy Mama. I unearthed to you the raw and chaotic experience of new motherhood. I didn’t sugarcoat it and I refused to filter it. I was as real as I needed to be for me, and also for you. For you because I know I am not the only one who experienced the Messy side of things. So, I am taking the Mess and I am transforming it into Purpose so that I can help the next Messy Mama live her own purpose.

Before I get there, I need to reconstruct and rebuild myself into the role model I need to be for you. I have already come so far, but there is still more I need to do. So, I invite you to follow along as I become Messy With A Purpose.

I’ve got some fun topics coming your way.

I’m taking on the co-sleeping conversation. Do you co-sleep? Are you against it? Are you debating on co-sleeping?

Parenting with Anxiety is a consistent battle. It’s a roller coaster of chaos that never seems to settle for a long enough period of time. It’s never ending, but sometimes, we make small strides and overcome big obstacles. What are some obstacles you’ve overcome?

I would love to hear from you. Do you have a question? Are you a new parent and want to chat? Do you have something to say?

Are you a blogger? Would you like to connect and be my new friend? Want to be a guest writer?

Are you interested in collaborating or working with me? I am always looking for fun baby products to try.

  1. Love all of this! Fall in Florida is not a true fall but as a homeschooler I love learning and teaching about the history of fall festivities and Halloween. Painting pumpkins- carved doesn’t work in the humidity. Pumpkin science and physics projects with the guts and tossing them etc. Baking the seeds, planting the seeds. Leaf prints and projects.
Cosleeping: I was initially adamantly against it. Now we do co sleep some nights. I realized how strange it is that we force our kids to do something we ourselves don’t like to do. Generally speaking I am a “do what works for your family” type mom. But I learned that flexibility was key to me being a happy healthy good mom and that if the idea or plan isn’t working than be open minded enough to find what does work.

    1. I love the idea of turning fall into a science project!! I am going to have to incorporate this somehow with my one year old. Thank you so much for the idea!

We had not planned to co-sleep either. It sort of happened. We are currently trying different strategies to encourage her to sleep in her own bed but we’re taking it one day at a time.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and for the great feedback.

      1. I would say with the co-sleeping thing, just be easy. I look it at like someday my child will not want to be in bed with me. She won’t be sleeping with us at age 30! Lol! It isn’t going to alter their independence or mess them up. There r so many things we criticize ourselves about….. sometimes we just have to let some things go. That’s my attitude now. Of course my daughter is 9. My shift didn’t happen overnight.
