Good morning and Happy Memorial Day. Before we pack our coolers and spread on the sun screen to celebrate the coming of Summer, let’s please take a moment and remember those who sacrificed their lives for this country. Thank you to those who are currently serving.
What are your plans today? Will you be soaking in the sun? Heading off to the beach, starting up that grill? Enjoy the beautiful day, but please remember, before you set off those fireworks, some parents haven’t slept in 15 years.

Parenting is hard. Even though we have different perspectives on how we should raise our children, we can all agree that it’s not easy. So, support in the parenting world is so important. Knowing that we are not alone keeps us going after we think we have failed. So, we may look to others when we are feeling lost in our parenting journey. Where do we go next.
Katie, from Our Daily Mess is a teacher turned stay at home mom, who uses her experiences with children to give us mom’s knowledge in positive parenting and how it has worked in her family. She does not push her discussion and thoughts onto her readers. Instead, she opens up a dialogue that could help us in our own journey. She understands that parenting can be messy and she’s got some tips on making it less chaotic while raising kind and emotionally intelligent children.

After becoming a mother, some of us lose a little bit of who we are. Some of us lose ourselves entirely. We may become so consumed by guilt of trying to be the perfect mother for our children that we forget about who we are. Sometimes, we are just so consumed in our new role that we forget to make time for ourselves. We miss the person we were and we feel incredibly ashamed. If this is you, then check out Identity Crisis After Becoming A SAHM from Sprinkles Of Chaos. Just know, us Messy Mama’s are not alone.
